2002 @ the TMF studios. Fred Di Bono and Evi Hanssen gaze
greedily into each other’s eyes. It was a classic novel story.
What started out as a one night stand produced a wedding in
2005.
A house, a production office and many fights and kisses later;
they did what they had sworn never to do: They recorded a duet
together.

They had a good reason: “Finding a theme song for the Touareg
trail 2006” :A series that will be broadcast on JIM TV at the end
of
January 2007,which tells the story of 20 2CV’s making their way
from Brussels all the way down to Benin.

Actually this was a bit of an excuse; their real reason was to find
out if they were as passionate in the recording studio as they are
in the bedroom! And man was it hot!

“When I’m Away From You” (Frankie Miller) is a pop-rock song
which both Fred & Evi can relate to. Evi made it a yearly tradition
to leave her husband for at least two months, jetting off with VTM
to discover the world and make great TV! Leaving her poor Fred in
tears, home alone, counting flowers on the wall... (Not!)

This year, Fred took revenge and left his wife for a full 33 days.
He bit the dust in Africa, all for the Touareg Trail 2006.
When the couple were reunited in the beginning of December
2006, they decided to burn their true feelings and emotions onto a
shiny silver disk. The single: “When I’m away from you” was born.

Hi y'all! Thank you so much for supporting our single over the last couple of months! It's been a blast and for sure beyond our expectations... Also thank you Q-music for keeping the single so long at the top of the playlists... That was absolutely fantastic. And thank you to each and everyone of you that actually went to a shop and bought the damn thing! There are no specific plans for a follow-up single to "When I'm Away From You", but never say never; so you better stay tuned and check this site from time to time! It took us a while but you can now (last but not least!) check out our video for the single...filled with exclusive images from Touareg Trail 2007! Hope all is well! And hope to see you next time... It has just been confirmed that we’re shooting a video for “When I’m Away From You” (Frankie Miller) with new talent on the block: Kim Vandebergh (Stout! Filmpjesmakerij). Shootings are scheduled for January 16 & 17 somewhere in Antwerp, Belgium. By the way we’re shooting on Super 8 Film! The girl in charge wants to have some genuine Rock’n’Roll sweat on film. Just great.

Just a quick hello LIVE from JET Studios in Brussels. It’s 18h36! Fred (still tanned from his African adventure) is screaming “When I’m Away From You” out of his lungs. Tomorrow it’s my turn. Yes, we’re about to do what we said we’d never do: record a duet together. It’s crazy. Never say Never. The whole idea about this single is to use it as the title track (Theme Song) for the new JIMtv series “Led Lenser Touareg Trail”, ft. Fred Di Bono and Nikolas Vanderveken. And it’s a fine excuse for me to sing again. I shouldn’t worry, we’ve got Belgium’s best musicians: Eric Melaerts, Tom Vanstiphout, Jean Blaute, Marc Bonne, Evert Vanhees, ... Behind the mixing-desk is Mr. Blaute Himself. They do sound incredible. Now it’s up to us.

Fred just got back from Africa. Tanned and very yummy. (sorry ladies, he’s mine). Exhausting trip. Fred and his rocking buddie Nikolas Vanderveken raced about 7500 km’s from Brussels to Benin (Africa) in a 2CV (Citroen). Check out the result on JIMtv somewhere in January.
